What Sets Us Apart?
What can a small, independently owned and operated hotel like Amelia's Landing offer that the corporate chains simply can't -- or won't?
Accessibility Jay and Mary Honeck own and operate this hotel. We live on-site. If something needs our attention, we are here to provide it.
Chain hotels employ managers, who change like the wind. Not here! You need something? You get it -- from the owners.
Personal Service When you stay at the hotel, you are served by Jay, Mary, their children, Joe or Rebecca, and a small, hand-picked staff of like-minded, highly trained employees -- and no one else. There are no half-hearted people in this organization.
Price Chain motels must send between 10% and 30% of their gross income back to their corporate office. We are able to spend this margin on you, our valued guest, in the form of lower prices for more amenities.
Amenities We offer many options that the chains just will not be bothered with -- everything from a delivered breakfast, to airplane rides, to Godiva chocolates! You want champagne in the room? Ask -- we will make it happen, at an affordable price.
Locally Owned In an era of multi-national corporations, there's something comforting in knowing that there are still high-quality "mom and pop" hotels in the world. We live here in Port Aransas, our kids attend school here, and we are committed to Port Aransas and Mustang Island. Can a chain hotel say *that* when they change names, owners -- and service -- every few months?
And finally -- our location just cannot be beat. We bought this hotel because EVERYTHING is within walking distance! Every bar, every restaurant, the beach, the docks, you name it -- it's an easy walk from your room.
We are committed to your satisfaction -- period. You've got our word on it.
